DM resources

When running a trad game like D&D, or Coyote & Crow, I’m a fan of the ideas in the Return of the Lazy Dungeon Master, by Michael E. Shea, a.k.a. Sly Flourish. He’s also made available a free worksheet, that has also been formatted to look like a character sheet, which is compact and fun.

I also found this notebook super helpful to store the worksheet in, take notes, add the character sheets, cheat sheets for the adventure, and printouts of enemies they could face. I created a cheat sheet I could access from an iPad (remember to charge it), and on which I kept a folder full of images on cloud storage, along with a Bluetooth speaker from which I could play appropriate music. Lastly, I had a map on the table, dice, and stickies with people’s names and pronouns. I’ll also have initiative on those when needed.
